Atlantic District Monthly Prayers

Prayer Schedule for February 2026

We invite you to join us in praying for the needs of the churches and ministries that make up the LCMS Atlantic District by incorporating the prayers below into your corporate worship prayer time.

February 1 - Zion Lutheran Church, Schenectady

Gracious heavenly Father, You call Your children to Zion, the beautiful city of God, so that we may enjoy your many blessings and gifts. Thank you for Zion Lutheran Church in Schenectady. Uphold this congregation and Pastor Rigobert as they share the many blessings You bestow in Word and Sacraments so that they may share Your abundant

blessings with their neighbors; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

February 8 - St. James Lutheran Church, St. James

By Your tender compassion, O Lord, You remind us that our faith translates into action. Thank you for St. James Lutheran Church in St. James. Bless this parish and Pastor Mittelstaedt and Pastor Forbes as they proclaim Your salvation and perform works of service to the many seniors who gather for meals and the countless young families

served in their congregational activities and preschool. With a living faith, keep them mindful of Your grace and the action You took to save us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

February 15—Lent beginning soon

Ever gracious God, You have shown Yourself to us through Your Word as the Light of the nations. Prepare our hearts to learn of You anew as Lent begins this week. Bring us to Your house this Wednesday to remember that we are dust and return to dust and to recall again Your saving grace in our lives in Christ Jesus, our Redeemer and Lord.

February 22— (Lent I)

Catechumens preparing for baptism, candidates preparing for confirmation Merciful God, You call us to lives of repentance. As we return to You because You are gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love, give us every gift and blessing so that our fast may be a hunger for justice, our alms may be a making of peace, and our prayers may be the songs of grateful hearts; through Jesus Christ our

Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Philippians 4:6 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Believe that God hears you and can answer your prayers, even if it's not in the way you expect. Don't give up. Continue to pray with faith and trust in God's timing. (Matthew 7:7-11, Mark 11:24)
